Renaissance Wax – professional museum-grade conservation wax is one of the most highly regarded conservation waxes in the world, used for years by museums, art galleries, and professional heritage conservators.

The preparation was developed with the aim of effective protection and care for valuable surfaces. Gently removes dirt, deposits and residues from other polishing agents, leaving a durable protective layer.

The wax can be used as a protective finish after using Cellugel - Wax for consolidating powdery and damaged leather. The wax personally recommended to us by the British Museum can be purchased via this link: CELLUGEL

Universal application

Renaissance Wax can be used on many types of surfaces, such as:

  • wood,
  • Metals,
  • marble and onyx,
  • stone,
  • ivory,
  • skin,
  • paper,
  • plastics,
  • Shells and natural materials.

Thanks to its formula works perfectly both in the conservation of historic buildings and in the daily protection of exhibits, collections and decorative elements.

Effective surface protection

Wax

  • helps to prevent oxidation and corrosion,
  • limits the impact of environmental pollution,
  • protects against traces of oils and fats from fingerprints,
  • does not contain silicones, acids or harsh solvents,
  • it does not cause discolouration or surface degradation.

Renaissance Wax retains the natural patina of the material, giving it an elegant, satin finish without an excessive shine.

Durability and ease of application

The product is exceptionally easy to use, the protective layer can last for many years under the right exposure conditions. The transparent formula allows for multiple applications without the risk of altering the surface colour.

Thanks to its melting point of around 75–80°C, Renaissance Wax is also ideal for:

  • lamp,
  • chandeliers,
  • objects exposed to spotlighting, where traditional waxes might not provide adequate durability.

Packaging

The special, airtight aluminium packaging protects the product from drying out and losing its properties, even after long periods of storage.
