The material from which OLFA mats are made includes the phthalate DEHP, which is listed in EU directives. Although its content in the manufactured mats is at a much lower level than permitted by the introduced standards, OLFA has decided to replace mats produced from a polymer with the previous chemical composition with mats made from a polymer plasticised with additives compliant with the REACH directive, without DEHP (DEHP free) for markets in the EU. These mats will feature an additional symbol – RC.
