Melinex – polyester film, archival quality. The 100% is an archival-grade polyester film designed for the long-term storage and protection of artefacts. Made from chemically inert, crystal-clear polyester, it provides an excellent protective barrier for works of art, documents and photographs against dust, dirt, fingerprints and airborne contaminants.
The material does not yellow, peel or age, thus guaranteeing the durability and safety of stored items. The film can be used to create custom covers, pockets, and sleeves using polyester heat sealers, as well as a interleaving layer.
Available in various thicknesses – of 50 to 100 microns, and a wide selection of widths and lengths of rolls. Melinex 401 is characterised by exceptional strength, ease of processing, and weldability, making it a versatile and reliable material for archival and conservation applications.
