Groom/Stick is a specialized cleaning mass made from modified natural rubber, designed for gentle, dry cleaning of paper surfaces and other library and archival materials. Thanks to its structure, it is permanently soft, prone to crushing, and slightly sticky, which allows it to effectively remove dirt without the need for moisture, solvents, or additional chemical agents.
The mass works by mechanically attracting and retaining dirt particles within its structure. It enables the removal of, among other things, dust, powder, graphite, coal, chalk, dry pigments, pencil marks, organic-based dirt, and oily deposits formed as a result of contact with the surface. The dirt is bound in the mass, reducing the risk of it re-accumulating on the cleaned object. The Groom/Stick does not leave any residue and is therefore suitable for cleaning delicate surfaces such as paper, documents, books and materials that require careful handling. Unlike traditional cleaning gums, the mass does not crumble and does not require the removal of a large amount of residue after the cleaning process. During operation, the mass can be kneaded and shaped, adapting its shape to current needs. Regular kneading reveals a fresh cleaning surface, increasing the product’s usability.Application:
